Sangam Liquid KumKum is a popular cosmetic product widely used in Hindu religious rituals and ceremonies, particularly in South India. KumKum, also spelled as Kumkuma, is a bright red powder or paste made from turmeric and lime. It holds great cultural and symbolic significance in Hindu traditions and is considered sacred and auspicious.

Liquid KumKum, specifically known as Sangam Liquid KumKum, is a variation of the traditional powdered Kumkum that comes in a liquid form. It is convenient and easy to use, as it comes in a small bottle with a nozzle for precise application. The liquid form allows for a smoother and more precise application on the forehead or other parts of the body.

Kumkum is primarily associated with femininity and is considered a symbol of married women. It is applied by married women as a bindi, a small dot on the forehead between the eyebrows. The bindi represents the third eye and is believed to protect and enhance the spiritual energy of a woman. It is also a visual marker of marital status and signifies the woman's commitment to her husband.

In religious rituals and ceremonies, Kumkum is used as an offering to deities. It is applied to the idols or images of gods and goddesses as a mark of devotion and respect. It is believed that the red color of Kumkum represents the divine power and energy of the deities.

Apart from its religious and cultural significance, Kumkum also has medicinal properties. Turmeric, one of the main ingredients of Kumkum, is known for its antiseptic and healing properties. It is believed to promote good health and ward off negative energies.
