Ingredients:
2 cups puffed rice (murmura)
1 cup sev
1 cup finely chopped onions
1 cup finely chopped tomatoes
1 cup boiled and cubed potatoes
1/2 cup finely chopped coriander leaves
1/4 cup finely chopped mint leaves
1/4 cup tamarind chutney
1/4 cup green chutney (coriander and mint chutney)
2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
1 tablespoon chaat masala
1 tablespoon roasted cumin powder
Salt to taste
Lemon juice to taste
Pomegranate seeds for garnish
Crushed papdi
Instructions:
Preparation
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the puffed rice, sev, chopped onions, and tomatoes, boiled potatoes, cilantro, and mint leaves.
- Add the chopped green chilies, chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, and salt to taste. Mix well.
Adding Chutneys
- Drizzle the tamarind chutney and green chutney over the mixture according to your taste preference.
- Squeeze some lemon juice over the mixture for added tanginess.
Mixing
Gently toss all the ingredients until everything is evenly coated with the chutneys and spices.
Serving
- Serve the bhel puri immediately in individual bowls or paper cones.
- Garnish with more sev on top, along with pomegranate seeds for extra flavor and crunch.
- Optionally, you can also crush some papdi over the top for added texture.
